The firm was established by Alex Cheveldave, BCLS, in 1959 and was incorporated in 1993.

Jerome Hango, BCLS (retired), acquired the firm in 1995 and continuously operated it until Josh Hango became partner in 2016. Jerome retired in 2020.

Joshua Hango, BCLS, became a professional land surveyor in 2015. Working with and training under his father, Jerome, since the late 2000s. Josh was born in Saskatoon, but grew up in Castlegar. Josh will continue to operate the professional land surveying practice in Castlegar.

Field crews utilize modern total station and robotic instruments and electronic data collectors, survey grade RTK GPS receivers, laptops, and a full complement of the latest ancillary survey equipment and tools including 4×4 trucks. Office equipment includes the latest computer technology for COGO/CAD drafting and plotting with the latest versions of CAD software to ensure compatible digital data delivery.
